Trying to figure out what kind of beardie I have

some pics of baby aka phoenix trying to figure out if he has a morph or just a normal, either way I love him to pieces!

he has yellow and orange colors on his face and the color along his spine is a gold or bronze outlined with a metalic plum on the outside of that is a peach or coral color, then his sidebars are a plum or dark purple color.

He does look like a Normal Overall, but those Purple Side bar's REALLY Stand out. I know my Beardie Started out as a Baby looking like a Normal, but after Each Shed His Whole Body got More Bright Orange & his Side Bar's went from Black to Purple. He's 3 Month's & 10 Day's & 14 Inches Long and I know as Mine get's older the Color's are just going to Increase.

Maybe when your's get's a few more Shed's in, and a few more inches on him you may or may not see more Color. But as a Certain Morph, as of now, No, but when he get's bigger it will be easier to say.

Ok thanks, he started out looking pretty normal, brown with the coral hourglass thingies, but after each shed his colors are getting better and better, so I was kinda wondering!

Yeah maybe in about 5 -6 more Shed's you will know for sure if he is Normal, or if he is a "Color Morph".

cool I will keep you updated with pics, it's just a curiosity thing, either way I love him. I've always said he was a normal but the way his colors are getting has me wondering, not that I know much about morphs, I just know he's getting some nice colors and his sidebars have dramatically changed...

Haha I know exactly what you mean. When I rescued my Guy he was just a week old if that and he Loked Completely Normal, within that Week I found out about all the morph's and Gene's and really Wanted a Red or Orange Beardie, and just my luck as My Guy grew and shed I noticed ALOT of Orange coming out with each Shed, then his Purple Side bar's, he's 14' Long and 3 Month's 11 day's old and Is a Beautiful all over orange with his Purple side bar's, I just can't wait to see what he Look's 2 Month's from now. but I would Love him just as much if he were Normal, Morphed, Disformed or Handicapped. lol

Exactly! My guy, Baby aka Phoenix, I got at the pet store he was about 6 inches so I guessed him to be about a 1 month to 1 1/2 months old, he is now 3 months and 2 weeks old is 11 inches and weighs 71 grams.
We also got another dragon, he was 5 months old (guesstimate as she said he was 5-6 months old) when we got him, he is now 6 months and 2 weeks old. He had 2-3 inches of his tail gone when we bought him ergo his name is Stubs, he was housed very poorly at this pet store, in a ten gal tank, with his brother (that was bigger than him, prolly cause he ate most of the food) on sand, one basking spot, no uvb on cage she said she rotated the uvb between all the cages, he just tugged at mine and my boyfriends heart, so we bought him right then. We got him dec. 1, and he weighed 75 grams, we had a little scare cause we fed him when we got him home and he ATE but the next day he was throwing up all day and didn't eat, I gave him a couple baths to keep him hydrated, and the next day he was better and ate, he is great now, I assume his brother was eating the most food and so all the food he ate shocked his system and he wasn't used to a full belly! he now weighs 149 grams as of 1-17-2013. He looks sooo much better than when we got him! I love my Stubby and I'm glad we got him out of that pet store!

Yeah, the Torture Store I got my Shenron from had about 50-75 Babies Packed in a little 18 inch around Octagon Tank, No Basking Light, just a Coil Bulb, and No UVB and were being Feed lettuce on sand, some were dead in the Tank, other's would be Dead that week, so I saw 1 Beardie Strong enough to watch me and Scooped him up. Lol.
But yeah, sound's like his Body was Shocked from so much food being available. Which I know it can Happen to Human's, so make sense it can happen to Beardies as well. :/

yeah it had me scared though! But I just kept telling myself that he just wasn't used to the full belly...and gave him baths and cleaned up his puke and just watched him that whole day....The next day when he did eat I kept it light and he did ok so then I let him eat what he wanted and he did ok, and now he is a pig except when it comes to veggies! He doesn't really eat veggies, I've seen him take a bite exactly 3 times since we've had him. My baby didn't eat any ate first, but after a week he was eating some, a few bites everyday, he hasn't finished a salad yet but he does eat a little everyday!

It is sad how they keep beardies, I saw one at petco that was tiny laying on the floor of the cage eyes closed, I thought it was dead, I went and got someone and it wasn't dead but it needed some tlc, the lady said she was going to put it in the sick tank in the back to give her time to get her strength back and to get bigger before she went back to the floor, I hope she did....

Yeah, I would be Scared too!
I have 3 Scary Moment's with my Beardie.
1st When he was about 7 - 10 inches long, I was taking him outside at 1 to soak up some Sun whule he would Sit in my Lap, while I sat on the concrete in my yard. He jumped off, bolted under a car, then some how made it 50 Feet away under another car, and took about 20 minute's for me to find him. I have cat's outside that love to catch Mice, and Wood's all around my house, never thought I was going to see him again, but I wasn't going to give up looking all that day, but I found him under a car laying on the super cold concrete, good thing he was because that had him so cooled down he didn't have the warmth to try and run.

2nd I was giving him a bath, about 1 month ago, I looked away for 20 second's, looked back and he had feel asleep and I just barely caught the tip of his Nose before it went underwater.

3rd I feel asleep with him on my chest One Night and woke up that Morning and couldn't find him, I knew he couldn't fit under my door, so either he was hiding very well, or someone came in and he snuck out, but I found him Under my T.v Stand which is beside his Enclosure. And Since that happened I have feel asleep with him 2 more time's on my chest, but I would wake up in the morning from feeling his claw's walking across me. Lol.

Yeah I'm not ready for more scary moments yet! Although Stubs My bigger one decided to run off the back of my computer desk and take a 3-4 foot fall, scared the crap out of me! And he still trys to do it, I guess he doesn't recognize a ledge and a drop off!
