I just got back from the vet with my girl Lego. She is 8 yrs old. She brumated the 1st time this past winter and woke up a new lizard. Very active and eating. Then a month later she started sleeping a lot, but I woke her up with a bath and then she'd eat a little. She stopped eating again a few weeks ago, maybe a dandelion leaf now and then. The vet took x-rays and said she has calcifications thru-out her organs and her bones are thinning. He said she is dying and she knows it, and that is why she is sleeping and not eating. She perks up outside, but can barely stand up. He said I could soak her in pedialyte to make her a little more comfortable than just a water soak, so I did. He said his guess would be 2 weeks or so. I pretty much knew before I took her that she was dying, but wanted to be sure there was nothing to be done for her. But, now how do I stop crying everytime I look at her? In 2 weeks I have to be away for 2 nights for a family affair, I will be so upset if I am not there. (My neighbor is watching her, so she will not be alone) Sorry, but I just had to talk to someone who understands. Thanks for listening.
