Traveling

Hello i will be going to Texas for Christmas! I am going to be there for about six days. Is it possible for me to travel with my beardie? I don't have anybody reliable to take care of him. I will be traveling by car. Its about a twelve hour drive. Would that be possible? Thanks.

I take my beardies home with me on holidays . It's about a 6 hr drive.... but 12 hrs shouldn't make much of a difference as long as the car is kept warm (i'm in canada so i have to crank up the car heat for them in the winter lol). My older one sits with the passenger or if i don't have a passenger he stays in his vacation tank in the back seat. The baby stays in his tank because he's a spaz lol. I bring a blankie for them to sleep under, a portable tank for each (i use small aquariums), their heat and uvb lamps, food and you're good to go. I love taking mine with me, last summer the older one even came golfing with me. We put on his leash and he sat in the golf cart!

Well thank you! I do have little ten gallon would that work as a vacation tank? He is about 8 inches right now!

I think a 10 gallon would be fine for a trip. You may want to test it before you leave and see how the temperatures change in a 10g with the lights you will be using.

That's important! I do have regular house bulbs that are lower wattage's. I hope he will like the car ride!
