On Friday, I will be driving and picking up two bearded dragons and a viv! I am soooo excited.
I have been thinking, just what am I going to keep these dragons in? They can't be together, they are male and female, so they would have to be separated. The car ride would be 20-45 minutes. (the babies would be pretty worn out, they would be coming across state from a 3 hour drive)
Heres how my plan works: I was going to keep the male bearded dragon in my lap with a blanket (wanting to bring an extra container if things don't work out), and the female would go in a carrier/plastic container/clothes basket with some blankets. The reasoning behind this is that the male has a very laid back personality, so I think he would be the calmest to be held...the female is kinda skittish, so I wanted to make things easier for her and put her in a container. I would like to give them both turns with holding, but that would be hard to not let the two see each other.
I don't know if I should take some rice bags or not...I mean, the day we are supposed to go get them, its supposed to be in the high 80s, but the air will probably be on in the car.
I am debating on the type of containers to bring...I only have one cat carrier, and the biggest plastic containers I have would be an old cat litter tray or laundry basket. Which ones do you think would work the best? Should I bring rice bags?
I just want the move to be as stress few as I can make it...it will be a big day for both of them.
