Transporting Bearded Dragon - nervous newbie!

I am rehoming a 2-year-old Bearded Dragon and will be collecting him on Tuesday. The journey should only be around 45 minutes but I just wondered if there was anything I should be aware of that would make the journey easier and safer for him.

As an aside, what do you recommend I use to pop him in whilst I'm cleaning his viv?

to go to the vet i put a water bottle (plastic) filled w/ hot water and a towel in a lunch tote so he stays warm for the ride.. make sure he has adequate ventilation.. as for cleaning his viv i'd let him have his time out and about the room you're in while you're taking care of his home..

For viv cleaning a plastic tote will work just fine. Two year old a nice deep one.

the bathtub works great if you have one of those who runs and hides the second you take your eye off them

I have a feeling that the bath tub will come in handy in a few areas other than bathing him.
A good place over which to transfer crickets to keeper / dusting bag for example

roshi LOVES car rides, she sits on my left chest area and the seat belt goes over back along with my hand, she's generally in my hoodie, keeps her head poked out has a fit if she cant see. when I clean her tank out she goes in the bath tub and swims around...(it just came to my mind maybe the seat belt over her isn't suchhhh a great idea, but I've tried to not use it before and she just doesn't like it. she likes the tight secure feeling of it im sure)
if your gonna hold it on the car ride I advise putting paper towel under its butt....... its funny but super freakin gross.

I'm pleased to report that the journey went as smoothly as can be.
Our (as yet un-named) little cutie just sat on his dressing gown and hot water combo and took in the scenery - occasionally wandering from one side of the plastic tub to the other.
