I am thinking about getting a baby bearded dragon from another city that is 9hrs away. We are going to travel by car. How would one suggest I travel? I am thinking tuperware container and hot water bottles but I am not sure if that would be sufficient.

Cardboard, not tupperware - reduces risk of suffocation. You'll need to refill your hottie around the 4 hour mark, and make sure it's well wrapped with towels so your dragon doesn't get burned. A medical heat patch might be better - they give out consistent heat for at least eight hours if you get a good quality one, and they're less likely to give burns if they accidentally come into contact with your beardie.

How old's the baby?

OKay, that's very young for a long trip. Is it possible to put it off?
If I were you, I'd have a thermometer with a probe so you can check on the temperatures regularly without having to keep opening the box and disturbing him/her, and keep it nice and dark in there.

It will be fine to transport a baby as long as he's healthy. Many babies get shipped across country and spend a good 15 hours in a dark box . I've transported babies to + from shows in the car on 4 hour drives ....as long as your car is warm you don't need any additional heat. I would put the heat on in the car to where I'm comfortable in a t shirt. The babies were in plastic or cardboard shoe boxes with no additional heat. They are better off cooler than too hot. A hot water bottle is not feasible, can slide or shift to crush the baby, plus it loses heat and becomes an unsteady cold water bed. The warm medical patch would work fine though. You can also buy hand warmers but they get very hot and must be wrapped in newspaper and taped so the baby can't come in contact with it. There are also the type of heat packs made just for shipping animals that don't get as hot. But really you don't need extra heat as long as the heat is on, but if you're in B.C then you might need a few heat packs if you stop to eat , but if you can take him inside with you [ have a smaller deli container with no heat pack if you do, then put in a bag or purse held under your coat ] then he'll be fine.

Yeah, I'm used to carting around bigger lizards. The last one someone described as a baby for me turned out to be a yearling :D

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
