I'm a new momma! I've learned so much from this forum and "needed" a place to post pictures of Toothless (we love How to Train your Dragon).

We got him 12/24/10 as a Christmas present for our son, and he's captured my heart. I swear he smiles at us.


After he shed the first time, we noticed that he's got some orange around his ear area - pretty cool! can see it in this first bath picture. And my kids laughed at his "pancake" belly. He loved bath time!


belly shot - not a great picture, but he is resting his belly to sleep. ha! (he has a hide and a hammock, but he seems to want to sleep here every night)


viv as we first set it up (lights have been changed - to a reptisun tube 10.0, and an add'l dome light with a 40w on the cool side to bring the temp up slightly)

Aww, Toothless is a sweetie. I was considering that name too, when I got my dragon.

Thanks Barbara & Lisa! I showed my son the pictures of Zak & Wheezie tonight and he responded exactly how I thought he would. "Ohhhh! They're cute. I wish Toothless had two heads. Do they fight? Do you feed both of them? Do they like each other?" All in the same breath. LOL

Monday night I had a grumpy lizard on my hands. He even hissed at me and his beard (such that it is) turned a little black. I guess he knew that I was out of crix. So, I fed him some phoenix worms, some kale and he was less than pleased. So, this morning when the box of yummies arrived (500 crix from ghanns) he was PLEASED! I dusted some and he hunted them with such energy and almost with a vengeance. Later on he ate kale from my hand, and smacked his lips. He has a fully tummy and again is a happy lizard. He hasn't calmed down enough to ride around with me, or snuggle. He RUNS and explores and loves watching us play and build legos in front of his viv. We love this little guy. oh and he's shedding again - the 2nd time since we got him 3 wks ago.

wow that's a lot of shedding! But dang, he looks so good! I would have loved to have Zeusy as a baby. Oh well, I saved him. More pics please!

Here are some pictures of him this morning. approx 9-10 weeks old. He's getting long. I really should measure him.


he's very curious. Especially of our smallest Chihuahua - though Diego is scared of him. Ha!

None of my beardies seem to have a problem with the furry pets in the house. Some of the furry pets are a little leery of one of my male beardies though. :lol: Cat may have possibly been whipped with his tail once. LOL

BTW....like that piece of wood in Toothless's viv.

Awwwwwwww. Hehe well I remember when I had my conure my shih tzu would BOLT away from him and the conure would run after her with his beak wide open. Good times.

Haha - yeah our Conures are the bosses for sure. When they go on "walk-about" (aka - fall/jump off their cage) the dogs won't get close enough to them to get in beak range. But they will investigate. I think the dogs are more concerned with "did you bring me some of your bird food for a treat?" LOL
