I must have 3,000+ Dubia's!
I've killed off over 2,000 this last year.
My dragon eats 3-5 + a dozen or so worms a day.
Any suggestions on what to do with the roaches so I don't have to kill them off????

I tried giving them away here in Vegas but there were no takers.

I like to isolate all males. Either separate them or feed them off. No males = no more babies. Just keep an eye on the nymphs day to day as they pop into adults and separate them up as well. It's a little work but it's worth it in the long run.

Great Idea!
Thanks

I haven't looked yet, but how do you tell the difference?

How are you breeding so many?
I'm interested in your secrets. :p
Just wondering what your temperature is set at in the tub and what you're feeding them?
Thanks.

Once there were over 500, it seems as though they generate their own heat.
I haven't used a heating pad for over a year. I stopped using it to try to slow their breading down, but it didn't seem to help.
The room stays 70 during the winter and 80 during the summer.
I feed 'em apples, 'layers' feed for chickens, and the ones that are going to be fed to my dragon within a month get agar as well.

It's a shame.

I had to kill of 1,500 or so roaches today.
Couldn't sell them, couldn't give them away.

I still have another 1,500. I separated the males in to their own bin but 3-5 new ones emerge every day.

I'll have to look in to selling them on ebay.

I posted on craigslist when I had too many crickets and got many replies. I gave some to a wildlife center that had reptiles. Ask a zoo if they are interested. Or dump them In a friends pillowcase for a joke :D David

next time you feel the need to dispose of roaches post in the for free forum and I am sure that you will have many takers offering to re-coup your shipping costs. Easy enough to ship them UPS, post office, or whatever as long as you packace them such that they won't escape.. Postal even will give you boxes to ship them in.

I would like to know how you killed them?

RAID!

I hated doing it. Raise 'em, feed 'em, kill 'em. Un-meaningful deaths. Bad Karma.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
