So Luke stopped eating unless i hand feed him. I dont mind at all but i would like him to be a little enthused about it. He is just kind of like yeah whatever. His lighting hasnt changed at all and the reptisun bulb is like 3 weeks old. Food is the same too. Just wondering if i spoiled him too much to where he is like ok hooman time to feed me... He is still active and i noticed today that his poo was an orange tint prob from the carrots. Everything looks good as far as i can tell. Any suggestions?
Mine is spoiled too haha, I fed him every day since I had him and now he is 1 year old and still loves to be handfed. He would probably eat on his own if I would not feed him for a few days, but I want to make sure he gets his greens and bugs. So everyday I handfeed him... and I know he gets a kick out of it!
.... all my gang are hand fed their insects each day , this includes my 8 yr old bluetongues Mildred and George , and my Rex who was 5 yr old when she died, and Puff who was nearly 3 yr old when developed that aneurism that dead to his death (from surgical complications) and my 8 yr water skink Wriggles who died in her sleep of old age.... very spoilt every one of them.
Yes I do regularly give treats too ( superworms and meals and their pupae and beatles for the dragons and skinks , and special cultivated snails for the bluetongues too ). When I have silkworms or snails , I use these as a staple since they are supernutritous.
The treats they have to work for, ie when they are on the floor for fun time - I drop a wor or pupae or beetle where they see it but usually a little way away so if they want it they have to go get it.
