So Luke stopped eating unless i hand feed him. I dont mind at all but i would like him to be a little enthused about it. He is just kind of like yeah whatever. His lighting hasnt changed at all and the reptisun bulb is like 3 weeks old. Food is the same too. Just wondering if i spoiled him too much to where he is like ok hooman time to feed me... He is still active and i noticed today that his poo was an orange tint prob from the carrots. Everything looks good as far as i can tell. Any suggestions?

Fyi this is him. He looks ok to my untrained eye. Oh and yes i do realize there is a hanger hanging from a light switch. I have no clue why it is there but I do have 3yr old twins so im just lucky its just a hanger

Ok so this morning he ate just fine. maybe I am feeding him too much? He ate about 7 to 8 med size roaches this morning and started digging on some greens too. Maybe he is just starting to like greens more than roaches.

Mine is spoiled too haha, I fed him every day since I had him and now he is 1 year old and still loves to be handfed. He would probably eat on his own if I would not feed him for a few days, but I want to make sure he gets his greens and bugs. So everyday I handfeed him... and I know he gets a kick out of it!

.... all my gang are hand fed their insects each day , this includes my 8 yr old bluetongues Mildred and George , and my Rex who was 5 yr old when she died, and Puff who was nearly 3 yr old when developed that aneurism that dead to his death (from surgical complications) and my 8 yr water skink Wriggles who died in her sleep of old age.... very spoilt every one of them.

Yes I do regularly give treats too ( superworms and meals and their pupae and beatles for the dragons and skinks , and special cultivated snails for the bluetongues too ). When I have silkworms or snails , I use these as a staple since they are supernutritous.

The treats they have to work for, ie when they are on the floor for fun time - I drop a wor or pupae or beetle where they see it but usually a little way away so if they want it they have to go get it.

Oh I love handfeeding Dixie , after work come home and feed him its our quality time lol. And I know he loves it too !Give him bath if its "poop time" etc.... He is not a cuddly pet so he likes it in his cage or roam around. Its summer now so on good days I bring him out.

Yeah hand feeding is fine, our cheeky is mostly hand fed his bugs but every now and then I will leave the locusts in the Viv to make him work for it but even then he usually waits until they walk in front of him lol

Their appetite does change as they get old older so it's nothing to worry about if it varies. We only feed lifefood every 2nd day now and occasionally throw in 2 skip days in a row. It's what we found worked best so you will figure out what works for you guys.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
