So I have a 100 watt basking bulb and a uvb bulb for Harry. During the day I noticed the humidity level is real low and Harry seems fine. At night his lights go off at 9:00 and I go downstairs around 10 or 11. When I come back up around 1 or 2 AM I always check on Harry and I have noticed the past several days that the humidity is REAL high. It is starting to worry me. The water is out of the tank at night, the house is around 75 degrees right now and not humid at all in the house just his tank. What do I do? :?:

During the day the humidity is at 30% and the basking side is 100-115 degrees and the cooler side is at 80 degrees sometimes a little warmer. At night is the only time I seem to have the issue with the high humidity, however the rest of the house is NOT humid at all, just his enclosure. I was told that it was fine and it would not harm him, but I keep hearing about the respiratory issues so I want to be sure. Harry is healthy and not showing any signs of breathing issues.

High at night between 70 and 80%. I have tried a fan, I take his water and food out, I noticed it last week when I got up at around 1AM and I can't figure it out. He has a tile floor and the top is a screen which I have also taken off. It baffles me.

Ceramic heat emitter :) sorry. They're ceramic light bulbs that don't put out any light, only heat. They fit in a regular socket.

Okay, I will pick one up - thanks. This winter I may have issues too. I have a wood stove so it's going to be warm in the house and very dry, I usually have to put a pan of water on the stove, but with Harry I may need to skip that. The things we do for our babies, lol.

You've already been given great suggestions, but I just wanted to say that you are not alone! This week I noticed how "sticky" it felt in my house and I checked the humidity in Oola's viv-- almost 70% during the day!! I totally freaked out and brought out my very loud dehumidifier. It's been running about 10 hours a day and is *barely* keeping the humidity in her viv under 50%. I can't pinpoint the source of the humidity, other than I live in FL and outdoor humidity is 90%. At any rate, it's a big stress for me to keep the humidity low enough. The things we do for our beardies. :)

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
