Comments removed by moderator. This is a PG-13 forum and bad language and swearing is NOT allowed here and will not be tolerated!
But discouragement and belittling IS tolerated as long as I don't curse or use "bad language" doing it? If you did your job as "moderators" I wouldn't have to put my 2 cents in!!

We don't allow discouragement (not sure to what extent you're referring to) or belittling of any degree. If you see someone violating the rules--whether it be cursing, offering misinformation, bad mouthing, arguing--please use the report button so we may be alerted. Because we can't be everywhere and can't read every post, we depend on the members to assist us as much as possible.

If there is a specific reason for this thread, please PM the moderator(s) directly so we may work out a resolution.

I find this Post offensive to everyone working as moderators,if you don't like it leave Keep in mind that this is not there career, they can't be on here 24/7 reading every single post,theirs thousands and thousands of posts on this website and only a handful of mod's , their doing their job as best they can and it's better than having no mod's at all.

Wow, I think this post was completely unnecessary. I think that all the moderators here do a fantastic job! Like others have said, they are volunteers and can only do so much. If you don't like the board, than don't use it. You don't need to insult hard working people just to make yourself feel better.

your not a moderator so you shouldnt be replying,as for not being able to read thousands of posts they saw the post and did nothing except remove my comments so before saying anything and getting involved in something that doesnt concern you, you should know what your talking about first

If you haven't already, please follow-up with Goonie. She (who is a moderator) wanted to know more about what the specific issue you are referring to is. As she noted, moderators can't be everywhere and rely on members to report issues in many cases.

Also, keep in mind that we need to also balance the fine line of a slightly heated debate/disagreement, from one that becomes abusive and inappropriate for this site.

Also, if there is an issue with the way things are moderated, it's generally more effective to contact those who can do something about it more directly, with specifics to support and explain your perspective.

In general, most members on this site have a pleasant experience. This is supported by the regular feedback, but also the membership levels and repeat visits. We do try to keep things civil, but we are also not going to be so restrictive that people can't civilly disagree and voice their disagreement.

Just to let you know, I was the one that edited your post because the language was very inappropriate. If you had sent a private message or reported the post as abuse that got you upset, it would have been taken care of and that way, I wouldn't have had to edit all the bad words and comments that you posted. I also wanted to mention that the member that made the post that got you upset, did receive a warning from me so something was indeed done about it.
