To dark in his room?

So I have posted before about Mordecai going to sleep early. Lights on at 7am and he is putting himself to bed at like 6:30pm. I know you guys said this was fine and to just keep his lights on. My question is could it be to dark in the room he is in? It is our den but more my husbands gaming room so the over head light is almost always off and the curtens closed most of the time so the only light is his uvb and basking light. So if it looks dark on the other side of the glass could he think its night time even if his lights are on? Or am I being silly?

You're not being silly, it's completely normal to have questions. I don't think it's too dark in there, because my beardie is in my room, which I am not in there often, other than to sleep, get some time alone, or get Dexter out. It is always dark in my room, but Dexter is always awake. It may just be his sleep regimen, some beardies basically schedule out a designated time where they go to sleep or wake up. It's kinda like how we train our bodies sometimes. It's completely normal in my opinion. Hope this helped!

It is possibly just his sleep schedule but it's also possible it's too dark. Typical light setups (basking bulb and a UVB) are a fraction of the brightness as outside, so another possibility is that it "seems" more winter like to him. You could try adding more lighting (daylight fluorescent bulbs are a good low heat way to go) and see if it has an effect.

I dont have as much light in my room as I'd like but Pepper can see out the window and seems to time his sleeping habits to the actual sum cycle more than his light cycle.

Peppa and Toothless have been going down for naps about 2pm , I have to wake them for feed no2 , has been very wintery and dull outside , I attribute their change in napping routine in the last month to the weather, so perfectly normal .

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
