Just wanted to add another "no worries and you are NOT alone by any means!" I'm glad Lyla is a-okay! I'm also glad you posted this because it is a good point to remember and it's not always mentioned. I know for fact that I direct people to the hardware store for fixtures all the time and don't always remember to mention removing the plastic. Now that I've read your thread here, I'll be most sure not to forget that important tidbit ever again! *adding it to my beardie care sheet as we speak*
I have a virtual laundry list of "things done wrong" at the start. Indeed, at least when you took off the cover, there was a quality light underneath which is more than I can say for our first set up. Oh, don't get me started... :wink:
