I'm going to buy a juvenile bearded dragon next week. I want to buy it in healthy condition. Can you give some characteristics of a healthy bearded dragon and unhealthy? If you can, give me pictures of unhealthy vs. healthy?

A healthy dragon should be perky and alert. Clear bright eyes and bright colors. A sick dragon, I believe, is always sleeping, darker scales and lethargic. I think that's it. My Nim is a healthy dragon so here is a picture of what a healthy dragon looks like.

Picture perfect dragon, I'll say.

I would also suggest for you to buy from a breeder and not a pet store. Although there are many who buy from places such as petsmart without any issues, it can be hit or miss. I agree with TheWerewolf. You will see the difference if there are any sick dragons.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
