Hey everyone, so recently my bearded dragon sustained an injury to her arm. We have been to the vet for it and they prescribed her some anti-inflammatory medicine and pain medication. Before we took her, she had been falling off of her rock because it is hard for her to climb. She is still doing this, although not as often, I have come in to check on her and she will be flipped over on her side to where she can’t get up. As I said this is getting better, but I will be gone for a while this weekend. I am getting a tattoo at a place an hour away from my house. I don’t know how long this will take but I am worried that while I am gone, something will happen. No one will be either to check on her. I have tried to fall proof her rock as much as I can, and I have taken out her log because she falls off of that the most. However, I am very worried that she will still fall off and be stuck for hours with no one to help her ☹ Should I take out her rock for those hours? I know she wont be getting the full heat and UVB that she needs but it would be better than her suffering for hours. Any advice?

I agree, take everything out while you're gone, and even better if you can lower her lights a bit closer to her since she'll be further away to keep her temps high enough.

I also agree that you should post some photos of her and her complete setup, including the lighting, and please tell us the brand, model, and type/shape (compact, coil, tube, or mercury vapor bulb) of her UVB. It sounds to me that something is possibly going on here other than just the arm injury, as when they actually flip onto their sides or back continuously it's usually a deficiency of something, and is typically related to their lighting and temps rather than diet. Maybe just the arm, but better to check everything out to be sure and get it corrected asap.

Did she display any of these behaviors or any other changes in her before the arm injury occurred?

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
