Tiny black dot?

I noticed this morning that Ferdinand had a tiny black dot in the center of his head which I'm positive wasn't always there, but up until last week, he was in the process of shedding so his head was an opaque whitish color. It's very tiny, about the size of a pinprick, and seems to be UNDER the scales, if that makes sense. Like there's a thin layer of skin over it. It has the exact same texture and feel of the surrounding scales - no flakiness or crustiness. I cannot find any other spots anywhere else, and his appetite and activity levels are really good. Any ideas??

Oh thank GOD. I have been googling all sorts of fungal infections for the last hour. I've just learned about yellow fungus, so my husband is going to have to put up with me waving Ferdinand around and going, "DOES HE LOOK YELLOW TO YOU?" for the next... oh, forever.

Husband is quite smug right now because when I anxiously showed him the spot, he said very facetiously, "Oh, it's just his third eye coming in."

Could be an infected cricket bite, could be anything. Keep the area clean, give the beardie a soak, thoroughly clean its cage, apply a topical antiseptic (betadine, sulfadine) and if it gets worse take it to a vet.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
