So I got Timmy from a friend whose neighbor bred dragons. He had been living with his hatch-mates (?) and I guess one of his bigger siblings bit his tail. It looked fine at first but now it's turning grey... what could this be? I hope to bring him to a vet anyway, but could this be serious? Tail rot or fungus even? I will add a picture later, but for now give me suggestions, please. I've had him for quite a while now, he's gotten much bigger, and when he was little I thought very little about it. Little pieces used to flake off. If i touch it he kind of twitches/flinches or raises his tail and runs. Help pls.

--- Regards from Timmy :D

Pics will be helpful....there's often confusion about what is + isn't tail rot and it can be hard to tell.

If the tail shrinks, scales turn black/fall off, best to get it amputated before it gets infected. If it becomes gangrenous it can spread quickly so be prepared to act fast and get him in to the vet, shouldn't be very expensive since it's a quick operation and the dosages are small.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
