Time without eating

How long can a BD go without eating? Soon I will have to be away for about 48 hours and I don't have anyone that come into my home to take care of Oz while we are gone. The few people who I would trust to do so will be going to the same event that I am so they would not be able to take care of him either. There is one person who MIGHT be able to do so, but I would rather not. He had a gecko that died pretty soon after he got him :shock: (it might not have been anything wrong that the owner did, but I don't really want to chance it with Oz).

If I left him with his lights on a timer, with water and plenty of BD pellets, would that alright? Right now I am searching for a hotel that allows pets, but no success. :?

For 48 hours he should be fine, especially if you can leave him with some pellets and maybe some greens (and of course water) when you walk out the door. Reptiles can go quite a while between meals, BDs included. I am sure he will be happy to see you when you get back and ready to eat.

I agree... you should be fine for 48 hours, as long as you have pellets and water, lights, etc.

I had to leave mine for a weekend, and they were just fine!!

I did bath them right before I left to try and get them to poop so I wouldn't come home to that mess!
