I think we should just take this posting completely off topic and talk about all of the things we love about beardeddragon.org. That way we can defeat the original intent of this post. I will go first.

This is the very best informational site I have found about bearded dragons and their care. All of the members here are so helpful and I enjoy chatting with each and every one of you on a daily basis. I really do feel as if we are one big family. Everybody here cares so much about their BD’s and everyone else’s BD’s too! The moderators are wonderful and do a great job making sure this is an enjoyable place for everybody to be (that is why we DON’T generally have people around here with the attitude of the person who posted this thread).

I love looking at all of your pictures, hearing all of your cute beardy stories and the overall sharing of information around here. It’s awesome to be able to get so many different opinions on issues and knowing that I can count on 99% of the information being accurate.

It makes my day to see pictures of Fudge or Jasper or many of the other BD’s outside and enjoying themselves. I can’t wait to take Diesel out this year, I’m actually sad that Rexy is too small for a leash yet.

I have made some wonderful, likeminded friends here and everybody is 100% committed to having the happiest and most content BD’s. I love reading about others experiences and sharing my own and I am constantly learning here. This place is a wealth of knowledge and it is because of the outstanding members that frequent the forum. Thank You to all of you, I couldn’t ask for a better place to learn and to help educate others.

Nicole

Nicole, you are completely right!! And I will agree, being a newbie everyone here has been amazingly helpful and when my other baby died, they words of kindness and sympathy were so heartfelt, I still can't get over how sweet they were. I mean, everyone here (with the except of the author of this post!!) has been more helpful and educational than you will ever know. I am here every single day and now that I am learning what to do, I finally get a chance to read other posts and look around. I get such a kick out of see other pics that have been posted!! Even that makes it so helpful for me.

And I agree 100% too about those of you who run the site and make sure anyone of any age can look around or chat with us and feel comfortable with what they read that they want to stick around. You do an amazing job monitoring every thing and I personally want to thank you too. You should also know that the breeders I found (who is the best in the area) strongly suggested this site. As I am a newbie and forget to check dates of when thing were posted, I'm not sure how long this site has been around, I'm sure it's been a long time, but you all have so much to do to keep an eye on the site to keep it not only up and running, but to do a fantastic job of it!! I want to thank you all who work so hard to have a site that people can come to that breeders who are the best of the best recommend. I don't just mean the 2 people I found who breed, I am trying to say that this site IS the best of the best!! The other sites I found don't even come close to what you do around here! :D

I too have met some fantastic, sweet, caring, loving people on here who were not only supportive when I lost my first baby, but made me feel so good to hear all of the kind words when I got Zoe (the name of my new baby). :D

I could continue to go on and on, but no one wants to read one of my "novels"!

Moral of the story: Thank you everyone who helped me get through the loss of my other baby and the kind words upon knowing I got a new baby and seeing her pics. Thank you to those who run the site flawlessly and are dedicated strictly to those of us who care about our beardies as much as our children! I will be a lifetime member!!!!!

Yay, an extension of pointless and sad posts! :D

I love this site. It has helped me through my little 'jitters' about Nim. When I had the wrong UVB for Nim and saw his eye half closed I freaked out. I had a panic-attack and the people who helped me were so caring. I calmed down and Nim is doing fine.

I love that I can share my craziness about Nim and people can understand because they are crazy about their lizards too! :D I love reading other peoples stories of their lizards. And all the adorable pics that come with it! This is the BEST :D

Thanks to all the moderators that make this site family friendly. Thanks to all the kind people that help others get over the loss of their dragons. This is such a caring community. It is wonderful to be on this site everyday and chat with the other people.

Thanks to the person or people who started this site! :D :blob8:

So, we decided we needed to have a soak. I was freaked about it, as it was when the last one had a seizure and ended up dying (had nothing to do with it, but I was still REALLY scared). The breeder did soaks, so I figured this was something she would be fine with. I guess you can't really take a 9 week old and expect things to happen as you want them to. lol The second pic is her crawling up my arm and as far away from the water and possible. I was hysterical but trying not to freak her out by laughing. First pic was when we did our first beardie burrito. Ok, I mean attempted. She HATES it!! She could not wait to get out of there. But the first one (sorry they are out of order) is of her getting as close to me as she could, even if that meant only putting her head against me. lol

The next one to be posted was when I finally relented on the burrito and she just crawled into my hands and kept spinning I guess thinking she would get further and further away from being any parts of this who silly burrito episode (silly humans!) and into my warms hands. ;) It was so cool to feel her just curl up in my hand, eventually with her tail wrapped around her. She is the sweetest little thing!!!!! Because she is so much bigger than the little sick one, I forget sometimes that she is as much of a baby and as young as she is. I could tell if my hands were actually falling asleep or if it was just her tiny little nails. I am in love. <3

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
