Tiles for Exo Terra Habitat

I have the 18x36 Exo Terra enclosure and want to put tiles in the bottom. Will two 18" tiles fit the bottom well? I know the interior diameter of the enclosure is less than 18x36 but 18" tiles are also smaller than 18 to account for the grout lines.

Thanks!

The tiles should fit nicely inside the enclosure but you dont need to gout them at all or else you'd never be able to fully clean them.

I have the same tank and two 18x18 tiles fit pretty well. I leave them loose so I can take them out to clean easily.

Thanks! Any particular type of tile that works better than others? I wanted to get slate that looks like rock.

Slate should work nicely. I have ceramic tiles that have a slight bit of texture on them (not glossy anyway) and they work well for me.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
