Tile Substrate? Please convince me.

I know that a lot of people swear by the tile because of the ease of cleaning. To me, it just seems so "cold." I feel like I might as well just be putting him on the glass floor. I recently bought a 40 gal breeder from one of our members and I love it. It has the tile permanently attached. Kookie currently has reptile carpet in his cage. If he doesn't poop in the tub, he always goes in the same spot in his viv. I keep folded up paper towels there so the cleanup is easy. I can't decide on whether to just go with the tile in his new viv or to get some larger reptile carpet. Opinions?

On the contrary, I feel that the tile holds heat and helps warm Pudge's little (ok, large) belly.

On the rare occasion that she poops in her cage, rather than in the bath, it's super easy to clean. Even once it's dried, I grab what I can with a paper towl and sweep up any left over "dust" or pieces with a little broom and dustpan.

*there's no risk of impaction (as with some other substrates. not the carpet, of course.)
*it files down the beardie's nails as they're running around and doing their thing
*it looks great

Course, if you wanted to stay with the reptile carpet, I've never really heard anything bad about that either. I just prefer the tile, mainly for the reasons listed above. =)
