Tile floor ???

Hi
I've seen a few people put tiles on the bottom of their enclosures. What are people's views on this ?? Is there any certain type of tile that's best ?? And is normal floor tile
Adhesive and grout okay to use ?? Thought it would be a good idea if it was safe for my Delta.

I tried to find the roughest tile I could at Lowes but it still seems too slick for my beardie so I have laid non-adhesive shelf liner on it so my beardie has more traction under her feet. I did not permanently adhere or grout mine in her tank. I have 2 huge tiles cut to size for her 36x18x18, 40gal breeder tank. I have the tile sitting on shelf liner as a buffer between it & the glass bottom of her tank. This left only one seam for me to worry about poo seeping between & it does; which was another bonus of putting the shelf liner on top, easier clean up. I have just enough of a gap between the tile to get it out to clean under it. You'd be surprised at what seeps under it. I prefer this opposed to permanently sealing & grouting. I can change it out if I want in the future. I do have a piece of tile upside down for her to have a bit of texture on the floor as well.

The shelf liner only covers the front portion of her tank. The back section where her hide is, under her bridge & log its tile.

I have two ceramic tile that are loose on the floor of the tank so they're easy to swap out. They fit pretty tightly and they're very easy to clean and sanitize.
