Thugs World

Hi, I wanted to start a Thug thread just for my updated pics. He is getting so big now. He wont come out of the viv for me with out a little tag play but as soon as my 15 year old walks up he will let him pick him up without any fight. . Funny thing is he is at school and i am home all day and talk to him. Thug is starting to like his bath time now, well he doesnt try the great escape anyways. He just gives us looks.
We live in WNY and its going to get cold here soon so we put a second warm spot light with a dimmer and we will see if that controls the cool side. He has a large warming pad under the tank and he seems to like it but we are cold then warm here right now so I have to watch the temps and unplug it and plug it back in depending the temps :mrgreen:

He only gives me the look when he wants more or if I forget to lift the shade on his window ha ha
He ate 5 more after that. He needs to stop eating 2 at a time...
I had him outside a few times the little kids come and pet him. He don't mind. But if the tree in front gets moving he puffs ha ha he is messed up.

haha that is so cute! Thug always takes good pics. How have you guys been....its been a long while since I've been on! I'll have to do a skim of the thread but hows Thug doing with the fungus, it was pretty much gone the last time I was on.

He's a ham for pics. He is doing great. His fungus is all gone, his tail base took little longer and now he just needs a little help with his shedding. He is growing like a weed now 359 grams now and no signs of stopping. He is so fun now with his personality at full.

So glad to hear that Thug is coming along so nicely! He a chunker huh?! I have to say the same about Bindy. Little girl needs a diet soon! She's about a year now so the crickets are slowing down, and she is getting more salad.. she just needs to learn to like it!

Their personalities are so great hey? I'd imagine with a name like Thug, he is hardly lacking in personality

Thats such great news Mike! I have to say that having a bearded dragon its the junior/adult stage that is my favorite, I think its because they are so much more confident. Have you taken Thug for outings now that the weather has warmed up?

Thank you, he is such a charactor now. He gets mad now if I dont open his window shade every morning. He is just starting to get into his greens. He has always eaten his squash but now I catch him eating the kale and peas also. He is still eating 15 20 crickets a sitting...Pig!

I had him outside the first time it went to 75 and he was a little scardy cat ha ha He got all hunched down and couldnt get anymore into my side from backing up on my arm. He is good now but gets very defensive if someone walks up on me outside. My son came running up and he blew the biggest beard like an air bag and gaped at him. First time I ever seem him do that, he got huge in like a second. Then my son talked to him and he was good. Must have not seen him come up. I didnt know who was more scared Thug or my son ha ha

OMG I just watched the vid of Thug eating the horn worms, SO STINKING CUTE! I still can't get Kratos to eat them.

My guy gets defensive as well and I have to admit that I seem to gasp and pull back my hand every time lol, and then I crack up laughing. Thug and Kratos have the whole sumer to adjust to the outdoors hopefully, they will both love it by the time fall comes around.

Hey all its been a while. We have been so busy this summer. Thought I would throw an update on Thug. He is one year old now as of 8-1. He has done the switch to 80% greens now and eats more now than he ever has. We changed to dusting his salad due to his lack of wanting crickets at sometimes. So I will get some wax worms every so often just to catch him up (loves them). He is now a whopping 524grams and still growing. He now loves to sit on the front porch and watch for airplanes. nothing bugs him except the airplanes ha ha.
