Throwing up.

Hey, my Izzys been brumating the last month or so, I woke him up last week for photos with santa, and hes been awake since but he won't eat. He gave me a good bowel movement 2 days ago, but since then hes thrown up this brown/red ichor twice. And hes also pooed some out as well, he was really straining. I've tried to get him to drink some pedialyte and a little water but he just threw it back up. Any advice?

Wow that is too bad. I would get him to the vet since he was vomiting up what could be blood possibly.
Did he eat a lot before going down into brumation? Perhaps he did not digest well before going down to sleep.
If there is blood involved though, that could be an infection or GI distress. I hesitate to say it could be liver or renal related without a blood test analysis first.
How old is Izzy?

He's almost 5, and no he didnt eat much before brumating but hes never been a good eater.

Hello,

I would take him in to see the vet for a fecal & if you can afford it, a blood test. Just in case his kidneys or liver are causing him some trouble.
How is he doing today?

hes been basking and acting like normal. I didn't try to get him to eat or drink this morning so there was no throwing up. unfortunately the nearest rep vet is 45 min away and there's no way to get a day off from work to take him until next week. I'm going to give him a bath in a few minutes, hopefully all gos well.

One bath later a good few drinks of water and no throw up. He did drool some which I've never seen him do before, and he left me a small bit of urates, all white and normal. I'm hopping it was just some residue from what ever he ate last.
I'll see about trying to get him to eat in the morning.
