Thoughts on Thor’s setup. Suggestions

So here is Thor’s living situation. It’s pretty basic. I would like to spice it up a little bit. As of late he has been really really trying to climb the walls. I just added side view so it wasn’t just open. He needs to get used to this new flooring so I think he’s a little in easy.

What do you guys think about the size of the tank ?
He’s not even 1 yet (jan22)
Tank size is 30x12x12

Big boy! Looks like he needs a bigger tank pronto. I would recommend a 40 gallon "breeder" style (36x18x18). He would probably also appreciate a hide/cave of some kind and some climbing objects.

Also, some questions:
- What type of lamps/bulbs are you using?
- What are his temps (cool, ambient, basking)?

Thanks for the tips. New tank already huh. Wow. As far as the lights the main one I have is a really expensive bulb. It’s for basking and let’s out uvb. I also have on the cooler side a uvb light. Cold side it gets between 80-85. More closer to 85. And on top the ramp it gets to 105-107 sometimes. On the floor is around 100

About the UVB-emitting heat bulb — make sure to change that once it's 6 months old. Sometimes mercury vapor bulbs are advertised as lasting 12 months, but in my experience that is not the case and it's not worth the risk. Especially as you upgrade the size of the enclosure, I recommend changing it out for a normal halogen 75-100w heat bulb after expiration and switching the other UVB for a fluorescent UVB like the Zoo Med ReptiSun or Arcadia Desert 14%. This provides more even UVB exposure for your beardie and better simulates natural sunlight.
