Thor is cool

Just got my first beardie Thor a couple days ago. Thor seems to be getting more comfy and curious. I have a 40 gallon terrarium starting to get heat dialed in and feeding is going good. Got Thor to drink water dripping off my finger which was pretty cool. I have calci-sand for floor but was leaning toward slate for maintenance and no chance of impaction. Handle him a couple times a day. I caught him sleeping in some interesting positions including hanging on to branch with one arm sleeping for a couple hours. This little dude is awesome.

Glad you are happy with Thor, they do seem to have you in a state of awe for a while. They are amazing animals and do many bizarre things that you will enjoy discovering. I would definately stick to your idea about replacing the sand with slate. It is better for your beardie and like to say so much easier to keep clean. Also it helps file their nails and reduces the amount of scratches!!

Welcome to the site. I have one warning for you. Eventually you are going to end up with more than one beardie because they are so cute and you cannot just have one. I have two and I am thinking about getting a third one. I do not know where I am going to put it, but I really want another baby. Another word of advice; make sure you have a camera on you at all times you never know when they are going to do something funny.
