Thinking of building a new home for my beardie

After looking at all the vivs here, i think my beardie needs a huge upgrade. Currently, his house is just a normal 50 gallon aquarium (the one used for fishes). Substrate used is huge tissue papers and he doesnt have any designs inside his home except a ramp and a piece of wood to climb on. I used toilet paper as substrate because I read that its easy to clean but I want to change it because my beardie keeps on moving the tissue paper. What is a good sunstrate that is easy to clean?

Regarding the new viv, is it okay to build a new one using wood? Im planning to make it 36 inches by 20 inches by 24 inches. Is this enough for my 15" beardie? Is any type of food good enough to use for making the viv?

Do you change it often? Like once a week?

no, it's kitchen flooring, just cut to size an it's wipe clean, it's like a cushion floor...... not sure wot you guys would call it you could pick up an offcut i guess from a carpet/flooring shop
