Thinking about adding a 2nd beardie

I am thinking about adding a second beardie to the family. I recently built a new 75 gallon tank for Gomez to move into. However he is having a hard time getting around it and really using it. He is ten years old. I have a separate 40 gallon tank that was his. I am thinking about getting a new juvenile and putting him in the 40 gallon. If gomez is still having a hard time getting around the new tank i will eventually switch him back to the senior friendly 40 gallon and move the younger one to the 75 gallon. I don't want a bunch of beardies but I couldn't imagine not having atleast one and with gomez getting older and having two completely set up tanks I am thinking its as a good time as any to add another baby to the mix. Am I crazy for thinking that? Any of you guys own multiple dragons? Is it manageable time and money wise?

Hi. I have 3 and they are doing their crazy hormonal actions toward each other . For the most part its easy to take care of them. I have a roach colony that helps with buying feeders. Like wnen I buy their uvb lights its kinda pricy but for the most part its not that expensive and since you have another habitat I don see why not .

I ended up getting a male. He is a red trans leatherback and should be here tuesday. I am super excited to have him and think he will get along great here. Here is a link to him

What a beautiful dragon!! But yeah as long as you keep them separate you are good I'd love to add another to my family eventually when I have the resources/space. Sometime in the future I will. Yeah just the feeders possibly? But once the young one gets older it won't be so bad. Once you buy the lights/decor for the viv that's P it, just buying the UVB lights twice a year is a bit ouchy.
