Thick callus scale on tail? (Pics inside)

My Chubbs is shedding slowly but surely though she has this wicked thick shed at the base of her tail. Normally I wouldn't be to concerned but this reminds me of a hard impenetrable scale. Should I just leave it and allow it to come off or perhaps something to help it? It's a patch at the base of her tail and is different because it's in patches

Is it just the bit of discoloration I'm seeing at the base of the tail? Has that only been there for 1 shed cycle or has it been there for multiple. It doesn't look like it's too thick. Tail sheds are typically stubborn, they take longer to come off because the tail doesn't grow or move as much as the rest of the body.

Still, it would be best to just leave it be. As they become older adults, their shedding becomes really slow and patchy like that. It's normal.

Just the patch at the base and then the end her last shed she had everything off besides this cycle. She has some on her belly her sides (spikes) 1 arm both legs and around her eyes. It is rather thick and hard but I gave her a good soak today and she got some off (except the base). Other than that it seems fine it seems to be curving up so I'm thinking it may shed just not sure when
