I got my second BD just other a year ago, he is male and called Rex
When I got Rex back from the pet shop I opened the bag he was in and he leapt out sprinting towards the window me and my mom were diving all other the place trying to catch him.
I let them run around the lounge freely while I watch t.v. Rex used to get on the arm of the sofa, suddenly you would hear a massive bang you would look down and see Rex sitting in the bin, he tried to jump from 1 sofa to the other sofa being to small he would miss and land in the bin below, I would take him out of the bin and he would climb back up the sofa and start again.
I used to keep an empty cricket box full of calcium powder I would put it in the viv to top up the crickets, as soon as I would put it in the viv he would run and jump on to the side of the container assuming their would be crickets inside the calcium powder would launch in the air caking him in calcium powder, making him pure white lol.
Their was once a fly in the room he would follow his head along the glass chasing the fly, if Lili (my female BD) was near the glass he would stand on his back legs leaning on the glass on her head so he would be higher up and closer to the fly.
I once wanted to see who was faster Lili or Rex so I put them both in a line on the floor and let a cricket go immediately they would both go straight for it Rex was a lot faster than Lili but he got about half way and seem to forget what he was doing and stop and go in another direction Lili won every time lol.
Rex loves to re-arrange the viv moving all the rocks out the way by smacking his head off the rocks so that Lili could dig holes. I have 2 stacks of 2 bricks with a piece of slate resting on top of the bricks (I thought this would be impossible to move it is very very heavy I struggle to pick up the slate myself), when I got back from school yesterday the slate was resting on just one of the stacks of the bricks and the other 2 just on the floor I asked my mom if she moved them and she said no. Rex was just lying by the bricks, I do not have a clue how he managed to move them but he was very lucky not to crush himself and Lili lol.
Rex loves to run around the viv whacking his head off the walls and glass making huge banging noises, I do not quiet understand why he does this it looks very painful, perhaps he is just strange.
I have 2 empty plant pots in the viv (I used to try growing plants in them but every time they started to get big Lili used to eat them, gave up in the end lol) Lili rests her head in the bigger plant pot and falls asleep. Rex rests his head in the smaller plant pot when he wakes up he try’s backing out the plant pot he realises he is stuck and starts swinging his head around then he starts running in circles with a plant pot on his head like a head-less chicken, smacking his head off the walls trying to get it off. He then swings his head around and launches the plant pot in the air or I take it off myself but if I do this he goes and puts is head back in it lol.
Rex has little dent marks on the top of his head were he has smacked his head off things, at first I was kind of worried and do try to stop him but he just keeps going so you cant really do anything but if it keeps him happy lol. He and Lili are like chalk and cheese she is really quiet and calm and he on the other hand lol.
