Ok so....
Khaleesi (pictured above), has become a significant part of my life, as I'm sure you'll all understand. So when she got sick recently, I scoured this forum for answers, until I decided she needed a pro. After seeing a local vet with only basic herp knowledge, I finally took her to a specialist a few towns over.
While she's totally improving, the exact nature of her ailment remains a mystery pending some lab results. But the one lab result that HAS come back so far has revealed the lengths to which you can think you know someone, only to find out the true depths of your hopeless mammalian ignorance.
Beardies don't have junk, okay? No external lovin' parts to speak of- just dots. Dots that are inconclusive when trying to determine gender at a young age. So you go by other indicators, like behavior. Khaleesi, well...she seemed like a chick. She waved alot. She never head bobbed. She watched Lifetime.
Of course none of that matters to the sperm. Yes, the sperm, discovered by the specialist in her bodily fluids. She is a he. Effeminate, yes. Metro, possibly. Transgendered? Well, it's 2011 right?
Anyway, due to this revelation, Khaleesi Sha'Quan O'Grady will now go by the first name Drogo, and be referred to in the masculine form. I haven't worked out a new middle name yet, but I'm sure inspiration will come. Funny, now he's watching Versus.
