The Terrible Trio - Herk-A-Birthday!!

Since I am finding it more and more difficult to keep updating 4-5 threads, I have decided to start a new one that captures the antics and pics of ALL of my dragons...Nero, Dude, Sweetie-Boo, Calliope and Hercules.

From now on I will be updating this thread... and every day is an adventure here in Beardie-Land :mrgreen:

I hope that everyone will continue to follow the lives of my babies.

Waves from the Beardie Bunch :wave:

Robin

EDIT ** For whatever reason Photobucket is not transfering my pictures :banghead: (and I have some good ones, too :angry5: ) I will try again in the morning.

Thanks for all of the well wishes everyone.

I didn't take my valium this morning so I wouldn't be loopy during my interview. I think it went OK. I just hope I was able to convince the interviewer that I was the right person for the job. I never talk much about myself, but I did so much today I was almost embarrased :oops:

What I have found around this small town is that because I have been working in the pharamceutical industry for 15+years, I am almost over qualified to do most everything because there are no local pharma companies. I figured a hospital would be the best and closest fit.

My fingers are crossed for you, too, Robin. Hope the vertigo goes away soon. Guess you'll get the result of those tests soon. Good luck.

So Nero has decided that if Mama is sitting on the loveseat in front of the window, then of course how DARE I leave him in his viv :angry5: :roll:

This is his new favorite spot and he will sit here for hours right behind my head:

My parents get a kick out of all of their antics and now that my dad has witnessed the "poop" antics for each one, he has nicknamed them all:

Hercules = Herk-a-Poop
Nero = Fraid-a-Poop
Calliope = Calliopoop

My dad has an interesting sense of humor :roll:

On a side note that has nothing to do with beardies, my parents just celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary and I just though I would add a picture of their cake:

Feeling better today. Tony came home last night (has SOMETHING to do with it but that is reserved for Adult Off-Topic :wink: ), however he is now on the night crew for a week and I will be sleeping alone again until Thursday. Oh Well. Such as the life of an oil-man's wife :) But the vertigo is starting to right itself.

It's good to hear that you are feeling better! I love the nicknames your dad came up with. That is too funny. My kids think their father is a weirdo because he asks me about Scorch's poop everyday after I give her a bath. Every time people talk about beardie poo it reminds me of that Jim Carey Movie, Liar Liar when he refuses to answer his mother's phone calls because she talks about his father's BMs size, shape and consistency. LOL I don't know why we are all so fascinated by poop, but people who aren't in on the joke just have no sense of humor.

LOL!! Poop is well... just funny!

Hey Wendy, how big is that Tegu of yours now?? I don't recall seeing any recent pictures of her lately and I feel kind of attached considering you got her on the weekend that I met you. :wink:

Is she as spoiled as Scorch and still the escape artist?

She is still smaller than Scorch in weight, but is about as long now. Scorch has turned into a big fatty! She is spoiled to death of course and would still escape her cage if she could, but the new one we built her has front doors with locks on them. MUHAHAHA So no more Toki escape artist. The weather has been pretty good here so Scorch and Toki have been enjoying basking on the upstairs balcony. Scorch still seems to just ignore Toki, and if left to her own devices, Toki would sit on Scorch. Neither one of them seem to have any bad thoughts about each other, but I don't let them too close to each other because I figure it only takes one second of aggression to prove me wrong. We are at the begining of a total body shed, so a new growth spurt shouldn't be too far away. She is a total sweetie, and any worries I had about owning a large lizard are long gone.

Oh Wendy, she is absolutely gorgeous!

I toyed around with the idea of getting one, but I have one dragon that is about 2 feet long... I don't know what I would do with a 5 foot Tegu.

Well, it's not for everyone, and you've got your hands full already. I've only got the one Scorchy and Mark mostly hogs her these days, so I'm grateful for my grand lizard.

Hi Robin!

I'm so glad to hear your starting to feel better. :D

Nero is looking very handsome in those pic's.

Happy 30th Anniversary to your parents.

Your dad sounds like a real character...love the nicknames he came up with especially Nero's. :lol:

Hi Wendy!
Toki is the Tegu your son picked up in Anaheim?

How's our Ms. Robin feeling today?

Getting there slowly but surely! I'm trying so hard not to take any valium during the day as it makes me sleepy and loopy, but if I go too long without taking it, the vertigo takes over and I end up getting terrible headaches behind my eyes because they are trying to over compensate for the erratic spinning and movement. Oh well, I was told that in some cases it can take up to 3 weeks for it to work itself out. Tomorrow will be week 2 :angry5:

Barb I want to personally thank you for crossing your fingers for me regarding my job interview. It paid off as I was called and offered the position today :blob5: . I am super excited as the clinical field has been my "bread and butter" so to speak for the better part of 15 years. I can't imagine doing anything else that I would be happy at.

Well Goodnight all.... hubby is on the night shift on one of the oil sites so I will probably spend 20 minutes or so tossing and turning in this huge bed I have all to myself :banghead:

Until tomorrow...

Robin

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
