We had a huge storm last night that killed power to my house and half my neighborhood. The power company has no clue when they'll get it turned on again, and knowing them it could be days. So I need to figure out how to best care for Hiei with no lights or basking in his tank.
I work today and won't be home until 7 this evening. Will he be okay going until tomorrow with no UV? For tomorrow I'm planning on letting him sit in a window sill that gets direct sunlight and probably taking him outside on his harness some so he gets plenty of sunlight. Is there a minimum amount he needs? Also what about basking? I've heard that if it doesn't get hot enough they can't digest their food and it can make them sick. It's supposed to be in the 90s tomorrow, will that be fine or does he need some makeshift basking spot outside or a few days fasting?
