hi this is madison im the 12 year old girl who was crying all day i miss willie alot he was my buddie he was so calm and sweet. my mom says we are going to get another one soon so i was wondering on good names and advice if u can it would be great sincerly,madison

I'm sorry to hear you lost your beardie friend, Willie. It sounds like you loved him very much and you gave him a good life. Willie is a cute name for a dragon. Sometimes you don't know what you will name a new pet until you see him and a name just comes to you.

Welcome to the forum. We were all saddened to hear of Willie's passing. I'm glad your family will be getting a new dragon soon. I have a son that is your age. He likes to wait to see a new animal before he chooses a name.
While you're waiting, you could be thinking of possibilities, though. Do you have a favorite literary or movie character? An historical figure you admire? Perhaps looking through the introductions page here would give you some ideas. How did you pick Willie's name? We like names like Willie's. Our dragons are Cissy, Fred, and Buster. Our dogs are Ralph and Woody. (Short for Woodrow.) Whichever you choose, I know it will be the right one for your new beardie.

I'm sorry about Willie, I'm glad you and your folks are looking at another dragon! As someone said above, it might be a good idea to wait and see the new guy before you name him They all have such different personalities that it can be fun to name them based on their own personality.

I'm so sorry about the passing of your sweet beardie Willie.

I agree with many of what the others said. Sometimes when you see the new beardie, a name will come to you.

My husband and I named our beardies Yoshi, Aurora and Grendel.
We chose Yoshi because we like the Super Mario games and the name suites him because of his personality.
We chose Aurora because she was one of my favorite Disney princesses. Aurora in a way reminds me of Sleeping Beauty because she loves to snuggle and sometimes she even goes to bed early. lol
Grendel got his name because of his size, but he's definitely not mean like the one in Beowulf. Ours is a big sweet boy.
