Thanks to Rachella, we now have 2 sweet beardies that we all love to death. Link is our baby, being only 9 inches in length from tip to tip, and Jumper, who is 15 inches, and my baby. I'm so over protective of the big guy!! Link I have no problem when others hold him or pet him, but with Jumper I let my anxiety levels go up and I get picky and yell at my hubbu to watch him!!
Anyway, since both are males we decided to keep them in seperate rooms so niether were stressed by seeing the other. So, Jumper is in the kids room, which is funny. My kids are little, but understand that you don't touch without mom and dad. Salem, my soon to be 4yr old daughter, woke up the other morning and ran in to my room yelling, "Mommy! Something is wrong with Jumper! He turned into a rock!" Now, I'm NOT awake at this point and go in to check on him. Jumper opened one eye then closed it. But I know that look meant, "PLEASE GO BACK TO BED" This morning I went in to turn on his light and there was Salem standing next to the tank, saying good morning. She was using baby talk!!! It was so cute!!! She was asking him how he was doing this morning and then noticed me and started begging to let her pet him!!! My son, Rhys(pronounced Reese), who is going to be turning 3, calls lizards crickets. I can only guess he does that because we buy so many darn crickets!! He just stood there waving at Jumper like a madman!! It was just funny to see my 2 little ones get attached so fast. When we brought Jumper home and the kids saw him they were shocked at his size. Now it's like nothing and they always want him out to pet him. They have been beardie-brainwashed and I know it's only going to get worse! But I'm enjoying it!!
