I first got Onyx when he was about 3 months old from a pet expo on L.I. NY. I had a beardie once before and he got really sick and the vet needed to keep him because he had an internal infection and it broke my heart. So I was really careful picking out a nice healthy beardie. I saw tons and tons of beardies and as soon as I saw Onyx I knew he was the one that I wanted. I was surprised considering that I got him from a breeder how almost skittish he was about being held and touched. Slowly but surely over time I have been getting him comfortable with me. I love him so much he is so sweet and gentle though he is kind of piggy at times. A few times he has eaten about 50 crickets at once plus greens to the point where his stomach was bulging out.
