My first little beardie will be coming home soon. I have a Dubia colony set up but I don't want to feed too heavily from it right away so I'm looking for some backup options while they get rolling.

Phoenix Worms and Silkworms seem like the best options right now (he's too small for supers) BUT I came across a few threads (one of them active as recently as early Oct) about the silkworm virus that causes oozing, melting silkworms.

I tried e-mailing Mulberry farms to inquire if they had beaten this but didn't hear back. So... can anyone here vouch for Silkworms lately? I really don't want to risk compromising my little man's immune system with virus laden silkworms.

Thanks in advance!
