The Cost of Breeding?

Alright guys, so I've read Thinking of breeding?? by TheWolfmanTom a number of times already. I understand the commitment breeding takes. And I got the numbers he was throwing out there. But I have a serious question. I need some different numbers. Price-wise. If I were to breed my BEAUTIFUL Super Rainbow Hypo Citrus Tiger, what cost would I be looking at? And I mean for EVERYTHING. How much for the hatching medium, the incubator, the containers to keep the babies in, the food for them, the heating, lighting, shipping material, EVERYTHING.

All you breeders out there, I already know you're going to discourage me. I get that. No one wants beardies being bred by irresponsible people who can't pay for proper care or raise healthy babies. I get that. I agree 110%. All I'm asking is that you guys help me get an understanding of prices here, so that if I ever did become really serious about buying a pretty girl for my boy Freddy to breed with, I won't be unprepared or under-financed.

On a lighter note, what sort of morph do you think would make some cool babies with my Freddy? Here's a picture of some of his colors. He's 10 weeks old right now, so of course he's color isn't fully developed, and breeding isn't even close to happening if it ever does. Any suggestions are appreciated! :)

The prices won't change just because you have a different morphed dragon. The babies will still require the same amount of food, the same amount of enclosures, the same amount of lighting and supplies, the same energy bill, etc.

I know you want 'different' numbers, but the numbers don't change. They are what they are, expensive.

I agree. Just because you want to hear something different, doesn't make it so. The cost doesn't change for different types of dragons. You'll still spend money the same, and you'll likely not make much of it back. What different numbers were you wanting to hear? Cheaper? Not likely. Quite possibly more expensive now than when he wrote that thread.

You say you've read that thread, well it breaks everything down. It is what it is.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
