Just wanted to share my positive experience with Drs. Foster and Smith web store.
I bought a new 160 watt T-rex mvb bulb from them in December and have had no idea about the current problems with those bulbs until Drs. F&S sent me an e-mail notifying me about it today. Their e-mail offered a blanket return for all T-rex bulbs purchased between November and now. They had staff available to talk to me when I called them at 11:30 pm EST and offered to overnight me a replacement ZooMed bulb at no extra charge, as well as send me a return label for the T-rex. I also have a new 100 watt T-rex that I purchased from Reptile Supply because Drs. F&S were out of them when I recently got my new baby. I've been using that one for her for about a week. I've been noticing that she's been seeming more squinty but figured I was probably imagining it since I'd done my homework on these bulbs when I got my first guy and thought they were some of the most reliable out there. But low and behold! The 100 watt is from the L1 batch! I'm just happy I found out now rather than letting my poor baby get worse while I figured out that there really was a problem there. Of course Reptile Supply didn't have anyone there at this hour, but I'm hoping to get a full refund from them as well (I've already ordered a ZooMed replacement from Drs. F&S in the meantime). And maybe this will get Reptile Supply to reach out to their other T-rex customers like Drs. Foster and Smith did, in case there's anyone else out there who still doesn't know there's a problem.
