Textured stone paint

I've been on the fence about using textured paint for my DIY fake rocks. On beautiful dragon's site they used weathered stone on their platform. I can't find weathered stone around here. I have found a couple other brands for textured paint, Krylon and Valspar. Krylon claims it is non toxic when it dries.

Have any of you guys used these? I haven't bought any yet. I want to use it because it would look really nice and add texture to the platforms, with out having to just toss sand on it. Any input is greatly appreciated, thanks!

i know Krylon Fusion is safe if you let it sit for 24 hr.
i use Krylon Fusion to dy my PVC for inside tank used all the time and there no problem.
never seen any fish die, thing is over time the paint will start to peel off but it doesnt happen right away.
some people say the longer it is cure the longer it will last till it start to peel off.

I used the textured stone paint from walmart.. The valspar brand is actually the brand that replaced the one on the beautiful dragons website.. Just make sure you let it air out and put a sealant over it..

I'm going up the store this weekend after my final layers of grout are on. I'll post some pics when I'm finished

I have actual grout sealer. I couldn't find the modge pog hard coat so went with a water based grout sealer... Will it still work on top of the textured paint??

I actually use the Elmers wood glue and mix it with a little water.. Works great.. I get a spray bottle and mix the two and spray several coats.. Good luck!
