Temporary plastic bin enclosure?

Hi! I have a 7 month old beardie and I recently bought a substrate that makes a hard type clay dirt that they can dig in and I'm so excited for him to have it because he loves to chill out in little places. However, the clay has to dry overnight, so I need a temporary enclosure. I have a large plastic bin and thought about putting my screen on top and putting him in there until the clay dries, but I am afraid of the plastic melting or whatnot. My lamps wont be touching the plastic, but it will still be hot. Has anyone done this as a temporary thing before? I don't have an extra tank so I'm still trying to figure out how to get this clay in there! Thanks

Yes, plastic bins or totes are used by nearly all breeders to raise babies and large totes can be used for housing in a pinch. Here are some babies I raised in one of several plastic bins.
