Tempature

Well I have the second enclosure all set up with the correct items and have separated the boys(as I will refer to them since we don't know yet if they are male or female). Now that I have the CHE and the Basking light on, the rock temp(measured with a temp gun) is 124 degrees. So it seems like I can't win. If I have only the basking light it is not quite hot enough but if I have the CHE and Basking light it is too hot. Suggestions? Is one way better than the other?

This is why I tell everybody to get a fixture with a dimmer switch. Get a high wattage bulb and dial it in... No headaches.

Ok I am not so smart when it comes to anything that has to be plugged in sooooo, where do I get a dimmer and how does this work is it something you just plug the cord in to?

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
