Temp Control

Hello,
Having a problen controlling the basking spot.I have a baby Beardie,75w spot by zoomed to hot,gets to 116,50 watt incondecent spot to low only 100.Have not seen 60 or 65 watt spots,Can I use a basic 60-65 flood from like Home depot or walmart.And can I use a basic coil energy bulb from same for xtra heat and light on cool side.

Put a dimmer on it instead. Or buy a Flukers reflector hood with a dimmer built into the cord.

You arent too far off the temps you need, I would use a normal household bulb, non-flourescent to light and warm the cool end.

I also just realized that most of the bulbs I was using are Zilla,from one post I read is that Zilla brand is not good for their eyes etc. Im also going to look for a 50 watt zoo med non-incondesent spot bulb and try that. Think When I have questions comming here first these pet shops will sell you any and everything.Like my UVB Bulb they told me Repti-Glo,come to find out that is not good for them either,so back off to pet store.(Major Chain store) to change that out to Repti-Sun 10.0.There is a little Local shop by me .Had a qusetion last night and the employee told me outright and I quote. "Sorry Sir,but I do nnot know anything about reptiles,but he person that does will be in thursday,)moral here is that honesty is what i am looking for not Im not sure or oh yeah sure that will be fine.
