These are the long black tubes that come with the cricket keepers. They look like maggots. They are moving around. I have about 200 crickets in this large keeper. Is it cricket larva? Are they parasites. New at this what should I do? Do I keep feeding her these crickets?

They look like maggots. When is the last time you cleaned your cricket keeper? I wouldn't feed the crickets if I was you. That doesn't look good at all.

I have bred crix...Never saw Larva! they laid eggs bit smaller than ggrain of rice, in moist soil and new pin head crix were hatched...your pics are blurry, but I would say these are not crickets...I would not feed them.

Yikes, I assume that since you just got the keeper, that you just got the crickets? I would send those pics to the supplier; odds are, they came from them.

And yeah, I think those are maggots. I have heard of flies infesting cricket cages before, but it's already too cold for flies here, and I live in the south.

Wow, I have always gotten my crix from Ghann's and never found anything like that in there. :dontknow: I'd take a clearer pict and send it to them. They have great customer service.

they are a form of maggot cant remember which kind they are but i had them and took them to a vet when i did a fecal done on my beardie and he said they were harmless they looked identical he told me to switch the cricket keeper to a tote if they bugged me it was because of the moisture that it held

They actually from what I can tell (pic's aren't that clear) look like the larva of the silverfish moths that infest your dried goods.
I recently had started breeding supers and these pesky little moths laid eggs in my substrate and destroyed my first batch. The look very much like magots.

But I agree I'd send them back as they will infest your cricket enclosure as well as your house. :banghead:

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
