umm well i was wondering what do tegus eat? i know there are different kinds and some eat fruit but the meat eating ones...do they eat only mice and rats?

or can you buy chicken and turkey for them?

if so can they live off a diet with just meats you can get at the supermarket?

mine eats scrambled eggs, mice, ground turkey, talapia, chicken, turkey necks, shrimp, baby food and some other stuff. ehhh generally they don't eat a ton of veggies, i've read that the reds eat more veggies than the b/w argentine's. I've got a b/w argentine and the only way i've gotten it to eat veggies was by mixing baby food into its eggs lol. Mines still young though, its about 2.5 feet long and around 5 months, give or take. If they do eat veggies its usually when they're a little bit older, as hatchlings they are all carnivorous.
You can also mix cod liver oil into their food. Whole prey is recommended about once a week but other than that you can feed it stuff from the grocery store, I'd stay away from highly processed meats though.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
