Tank?

So I have built my beardie a new 66 gal tank with a background and everything except a hide which I am going to be building today with the styrofoam and cement. Soooo the issue is that she stays in there to get warm then hits the plexi glass until we let her out then she will either run around the apartment or just goes straight into my toddlers room and sleeps. I mean when the baby is asleep she wants to be in there. Last night she hit the window until I put her in the bedroom when he was asleep. Its weird... I thought she didnt like him cause he had picked her up by the tail a couple of times. Also the tail is fine its not black or anything. So my question is. Should I put her tank in his room or do you guys think she will stop once that hide is in her tank. She has some of my shirts in there to hide but i have to wrap her for bed she never uses otherwise.

It could be the odor in the new viv. Did you let it air out for a week or so before putting her in it?

Can you show us the tank? It could just be that it's new and she's still a little unsure of it and she should eventually get used to it. It also may have nothing at all to do with the tank and she just wants out to run around but possibly gets cool and wants to nap in a dark place.

Please do post pics of the tank, just like to see it actually. :) Most dragons get stressed in a new cage no matter how decked out it is, plus this is getting in to breeding season and the hormones can cause them to be flighty.
BTW, I'd strongly advise it to not be in your toddler's room. Very young children can seriously hurt animals just by their rough play without realizing it and being picked up by the tail can cause damage, esp. if the dragon thrashes around or the child tosses him.

No I didnt let it air out cause all we did was drill holes except for the vent but all that smell was in the back of the tank. Its been about two weeks since its been built. And its white but I put a background in it. I am actually trying to do all of the inside in that background. The flooring is tile and the styrofoam is going in tomorrow fingers crossed. I never thought about the hormones. I tbh thought it was because we got a new beardie and moved her into the bigger new tank and let the little one have her old one. She is almost a year old as well so does that mean shes gonna go into heat I guess would be the term lol

The pic is only halfway showing up. Do you have any cage decor ? And do you say you just got her recently ? If so, both of those are reasons for her behavior. She needs a nice tall basking log or two.

She likes the toy box because there's so many things to entertain her. :) [ Just kidding of course ]

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
