Tank Size

Would a 75 gallon tank be big enough for a full sized beardie? I originally had him in a 20gal when I first got him I knew it was small and quickly got him some more room, then upgraded to a 55gal thinking it would be enough for him when he was a adult. Then I read it was still small. I found a 75gal at pet smart that seemed to have more floor space for him to crawl around. I just feel bad I have to keep switching tanks on him and want one he could be permanently set in and just wanted to make sure before I bought it . Also if anyone knows any sites the make custom tanks that has reasonable prices? Thank you very much for reading this and your time.

Whats the dimensions on the tank? if its a lot of floor space on it I would think that would be fine, im by no means no expert though. Just in the same boat as you and feel bad for the guy not having room right now so building a larger one right now.

The dimensions need to be AT LEAST 36" x 18" on the bottom, and most people recommend it also be 18"-24" tall. Your beardie needs to be able to turn around comfortably in the tank when he is full size, so anything more narrow than 18" will probably be a tight fit for him as an adult.

Edit: Optimal size is 48"x24"x24". So I believe the answer is yes, a 75 gallon tank should be fine.

boamasters.com has reasonable tanks, that look appealing. They are the cheapest I have found, besides going it yourself.

Thank you all for the help, yea I wanted to make a custom, but I'm not the most handy person with tools, hehe. Thank you for the site link, I will defiantly check that site out and if I can't find any I like ill just go with the 75 gal then

I'm finally getting my 75 gallon next week, but I need to buy a screen top for it off line. I can't seem to find anyplace around here that sells any that big. Has anyone ordered anything off of That Fish/Pet Place or Reptile Direct? They seem to have one pretty cheap.

i got an awesome as deal with my beardie.

what i'm paying= $480 for the lot!the guy im getting it off of has an expanding snake collection but is running out of room so yeah, won't be picked up til after christmas, around new years but thats fine give me time to save up.

its awesome because i would pay over $1000 for all that if i bought it seperately.

I think I ordered a Reptisun from Reptile Direct before. Didn't have any issues.
