Tank size ok?

Is a 48 x 18 x 13 tank large enough for a full grown bearded dragon? I would be ordering it from http://www.glasscages.com/?sAction=ViewCat&lCatID=6 and it is the 50 gal long granite acryllic tank. Would this be okay for a full grown adult? Whoch wattage bulbs would i need?

I'd say too small. The minimum for a full grown adult should be a 4'x2'x2' aka 48"x24"x24"

The one your looking as has an OK length but as you can see, its width and hight are not what you would want for an adult.

Just a little tip. If you have the tools or can borrow them, it is MUCH cheaper just to build your own 4x2x2

Actually, the minimum for an adult is a 40 gallon breeder which is 36 x 18 x 18 so the 48 x 18 x 13 is fine unless you planned on using a MVB on top of the tank although you could use one on a lamp stand to get it to the proper distance. That site has a 65 gallon granite that is 48 x 18 x 17 and only $20 more so you might want to think about that as it might help with the temps with the extra height from 13" to 17".

i think i'm going to purchase the 65 gal. clear glass aguarium with the sliding front panels instead. it's dimensions are 48x18x17. would this be a suitable tank for one adult bearded dragon? with these dimensions, what wattage bulb should i get? also, how close does the beardie need to be from the uvb.

The wattage totally depends on what the temperature in your house is. What works for some people doesn't always work for others. Unfortunately its pretty much guess and check with buying light bulbs. Luckily you can get some fairly cheap halogen bulbs at lowes for around 10 dollars or so.
