Tank size issues

My beardie is about a foot long, he is in a 35 gallon tank,I'm only 14, I know he needs like a 55 gallon tank, but at some pet shop they tell my mom he needs a 40 gallon, and she won't believe me so I can't get my poor Spike a large enough tank. What should I do?

A 40 gallon breeder actually has more floor space than a 55 gallon. :wink: Go with the 40.

I always build my enclosure, its a lot cheaper.But if you buy a tank. I agree with machinegunbear buy a 40 gallon breeder tank, a lot more floor space.

if you want a 55 you might as well just get a 75, its as wide as the 40 breeder and as long as the 55. my bearded tank of choice.
