Tank getting too hot or cold

So I'm having a rather annoying time at the moment my beardie tank is getting too hot with the 150 watt bulb in the basking spot Getting in to the 130 tempbut the ambient temperature tire on the hot side of the tank away from the basking Spot is around 103-106 the cold side is in the 80-90 range but if I use a 100 watt bulb. The basking range is in the 80-90 range but the ambient temp on the hot side is the middle 80s so I'm kinda having a hard time getting this balance right. Any advice would be appreciated also the tank is a 120 gallon with a front facing door

Please post pics of tank and lighting set up--- 130 is way to hot -- how are you taking the temps in tank -- you need a Infrared heat gun - can be bought at Walmart Lowes Home Depot for around $10-- temps on the tank should be 90-105 basking area 80 on cool side w/ 70 or so at nite - 65 the lowest at nite

Really the most important thing is getting your basking surface the right temp. From there most of the time the gradient is suitable as long as you have the basking surface on one side or the other.

So your first step should be getting your basking SURFACE temp where it needs to be. Make sure you're using a digital with probe end or an infrared thermometer to measure. Once you get that temperature dialed in we can help you troubleshoot the rest of your temps from there. But like I said, usually if the basking temp is suitable, the rest of the tank temps will be too.
